Sufi Story

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Two sufi monks were travelling the countryside. They came from a very strict order that forbade them to have any contact whatsoever with women. As they journeyed they encountered a woman crying next to a stream.

"What seems to be the problem?" asked the first monk to the second monk's horror.

"The water is too deep for me to cross the stream" the woman replied.

"Then allow me to assist you" said the first monk as he carried the woman across the water.

The woman thanked the monks and went upon her way. As the monks resumed their travels the second monk complained: "What have you done? We're not allowed to even speak to women, let alone touch them, stream or not! What have you done, you silly fool! What have you done?"

These protestations continued relentlessfly for miles until the first monk stopped and said to the second monk "I left the woman by the stream. Why are you still carrying her?"

This message is for the individual who posted the unnecessary nastiness about Diane Squire, for Andy Ray who continues to beat upon a dead y2k horse, and for anyone else who feels a need to nurture and feed current or past grudges that serve no purpose.

Peace.

This has been a public service announcement. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Nuts - If your interest is educational my Re -cap of previous Nasdaq predictions includes a commentary on what's occured thus far, along with a list of upcoming dates and predictions. If your interest is the Dow keep an eye on the time frame surrounding the 20th. It looks pretty nasty.
