ASPEN AIRPORT CLOSED - Lights failed

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Stepdaughter works for Argenbright Security at the Aspen airport. The runway lights failed at about 6:00 PM MST which of course closed the airport. You heard it hear at TB2000 before it hit the media.

I finally had a breaking news to offer. I made my contribution, I guess I can quit now.

Thanks, Guy, but you have to past back when the lights go back on, and then give us the inside story before the Spin Hits the Fan. ONLY THEN can you quit. Any job worth doing is worth doing well, Go for it man. Youcan do it. I know you can. We're with you.

Squirrel Hunter, "You rule, DUDE!" Guy, you've been put on a mission, don't let us down.

I posted a note this afternoon that it seemed quiet in here. Boy, that sure has changed in the last 5 or 6 hours. All kinds of breaking news. I sure would like to see some of this stuff make it on to tv, but I guess that would be asking too much of our heroic media.

Yep. Take pictures. Esp. if that airport as well falls to martial law, heh.

I don't know what the cutoff is for our worthless local paper, the Glenwood Post but if it hits the newspaper tomorrow, I will post the URL. I don't think the Aspen paper is on line but I'll check that one too. I'll complete the mission as charged.

BTW, this is somewhat significant because the Aspen airport is VERY busy during the winter. About 15 United Express flights, 2 Northwest, 2 American West and a pile of private aircraft. My wife works there too.

I have been following this forum for some time, and many incidents are listed, and confirmed. They seem to be growing by the hour, and nonthing, I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is mention in the local rag sheet about it. Finally a short bit on the six pm news about the flu in UK. What a black out we have. The news is flooded with FLUFF, nothing of consiquince. It is sickening to be exposed to. If it were not for this web what a silence we would have. It makes me a bit afraid, when is big bro going to hit this forum and shut it down?

(By the way, Mr. Daley... If you or any of your force are caught, The Secretary will disavow any knowledge of you or your organization. Good luck, Guy...)
