Southern California: My daughter works for a major department store in a regional shopping mall located about 20 miles from home. Today was the first day of a four-day sales event, and the store was open until midnight. My daughter was on the freeway, coming home at 12:30 AM, when she was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol. The officer asked where she was coming from......where she was going to. My daughter was in a business suit and had her name tag on, which she showed the officer. Another employee, a male, who also works at her store was a few cars ahead of her and saw her being pulled over. Concerned for her, he pulled over too. The officer noted this and asked my daughter who he was, were they travelling together, and where did he live. The officer, apparantly satisfied with her answers, told her to go straight home. For the remainder of the trip home, my daughter said there were Highway Patrol and police everywhere. She said traffic was very light.....maybe only 12 cars on the freeway. My daughter wasn't speeding or doing anything that would warrant being pulled over. The officer was only interested in where she was coming from and where she was going, and who her friend was and where he lived. Does anyone else find this strange???

Na, sounds like a typical day here in NJ. Any time after 00:00 the man is out, looking for DWI and such.

Funny story, last year I was working second shift for a while. One night, I was pulled over about 1:00. Same stuff, where were you, where are you going, you're OK, get out of here! About a week later, my car was in the shop, and I had a friend's car. Same cop.

The funny part? We had a labor day party, and one of my housemates is also a cop. You'll never guess who showed up as a guest! And we got drunker than s*it together!

Tick... Tock... <:00= ...

Sysman, that is most definitely a typical NJ story. Born & raised in the Garden State. More than a handful of after midnight rendezvous with the badges.

And I really wish ya would have attended the NYC get together back in August, Sysman.

Nothing like McSorley's Old Ale House & good company!

Yea, I know Bingo1. I'm sorry that I missed that. I think it was a friends birthday party that kept me away. But I would still like to get together with some of the locals. I should get in touch with pshannon. Dr. Altman is also a NJ guy, and we've talked about it.

Maybe next year. Hopefully, we'll all enjoy crow for dinner! <:)=

As I cop, I agree w/ the above that he was looking for a DUI case. Sounds like usual line of questioning. Unknown, but probably had some somewhat erratict driving behavior.

No conspiracy here.

Zeck.

As a NJ cop, I HIGHLY refute ANY hint of wrongdoing. REMEMBER, in NJ you can be stopped for dirty license plates (I'm serious- NJ Title 39:3-33.)

Oh its good!!!!
