Hi my name is Michelle and my church is starting an on-campus coffee caf'e. I have to admit I know nothing about any of this and I must ask a really silly question. Ho many cups of coffee will a 1lb bag of coffee beans make. I am trying to propose a budget to our church board and without this information it is difficult to determine how many lbs we will need for an entire year. Our church consists of 350 members. Only drinking coffee on Sundays and sometimes on Saturdays of each month. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Michelle

I would suggest you use 2 or 2.5OZ per pot you brew. Where are you located and I be able to help with the set up also. I have been in the coffee biz for 10+ years.

Hi Michelle, If you haven't gotten your exact answer yet, here is my input. HOW MANY CUPS OF COFFEE CAN BE MADE WITH A POUND OF COFFEE? Well taking into consideration that cup sizes vary from user to user as well as adding a little extra or a little less to vary your coffee strength there is no accurate answer and you may hear varying answers. But here`s a guideline for you, assuming you use an `average` sized cup. For each pound of whole coffee beans, you can expect to brew 30-40 cups of coffee. Hope that helps you! Let me know if you have any other questions. -flo
