Will a new govenor work right if it has a max pullthru that is about 125 lbs less than the original. They have Otis safties. Thanks.

Rick I have seen companies just repair the governors instead of replacing them because a gov replacement require a inspector to whitness a full load safety test after the replacement and then also change the job records for equipment change. I dont know what safties you have but if you have a flyball gov there are very common and fully repairable. You have a range of pull thru on the gov with a dyno and a range of slide with the safties. I even have a chrome plated governor in my office.
