Hello, can anybody tell me the type of elevator systems used on widebody aircraft (747,dc 10/md11,L1011) as for obvious reasons not standard traction or hydro. thanks Dan

Dan, they had an article in elevator world years ago about these elevators on 747s and they were chain driven by some non elevator company and repaired by the airline mechanics. it was a modular design that certain components could be replaced in sections. I could look for it if it really important. Jim
