I am considering buying a coffe shop in Melbourne, Australia. How many cups can be produced out of a kilo of coffe and aprox how many grams per cup? The current owner tells me that they use 14kg/week and each kilo produces 120 cups, is this correct?

Hello George, 14 kilos of coffee does not always translate to 120 cups of coffee. There is wastage, double shots for strong lattes, double espressos and staff coffees etc. I think its closer to around 70 / 80 coffees in the kilo.

Good luck
