MV Agusta partecipa al Campionato Italiano Superbike con la F4 Tamburini Roberto Gallina e Dario Greco hanno ricevuto oggi, presso la sede di Schiranna, il primo dei due esemplari di MV Agusta F4 Tamburini acquistati al fine di partecipare al prossimo C.I.V. (Campionato Italiano Velocità) Superbike. La consegna delle moto, avvenuta alla presenza del direttore commerciale ing. Umberto Uccelli, segna il ritorno sui circuiti della celebre struttura gestita da Roberto Gallina, il team manager spezzino che portò all’iride Marco Lucchinelli (1981) e Franco Uncini (1982).

In questa nuova missione Roberto Gallina vestirà i gradi di direttore tecnico, affiancato dal direttore sportivo Dario Greco mentre Mario Maccari e l’ing. Luca Ratti saranno rispettivamente il meccanico di pista e il tecnico dell’elettronica. La MV Agusta F4 Tamburini, sarà pilotata da Michele Gallina, fresco vincitore del trofeo Supertwins 2004 e campione italiano Sport Production nel 1997. Per il pilota spezzino, in attesa della prima gara prevista il 17 aprile a Vallelunga, il lavoro inizierà già nel mese attualmente in corso, con una serie di test privati che precederanno la sessione di prove prevista per il 18 e 19 febbraio a Valencia.

Oltre al prezioso supporto che Pirelli fornirà sul fronte pneumatici, il team Gallina beneficerà delle evoluzioni tecniche che verranno deliberate dalla MV Agusta per le F4 impegnate nelle competizioni.

Il team spezzino allestirà le MV Agusta F4 Tamburini con i due kit disponibili per le competizioni Superbike; il primo, realizzato dalla CRC (Centro Ricerche Cagiva) e distribuito dalla MV Agusta Corse di San Marino (N.d.R. ramo d’azienda specializzato nella produzione di parti e veicoli speciali) destinato al motoveicolo (Radiatore monolitico, impianto frenante radiale Brembo, ruote in magnesio da 16,50’’, forcella Marzocchi, sovrastrutture in fibra di carbonio, componentistica in magnesio ed ergal, ecc) mentre il secondo, realizzato dalla MV Agusta Motorcycles, sarà composto da pistoni alleggeriti, alberi a camme, generatore racing, cambio ravvicinato e frizione antisaltellamento.

La MV Agusta F4 Tamburini, oltre ad essere la versione più esclusiva della gamma F4, è anche l’unica omologata per le competizioni nella categoria Superbike. Prodotta in un’edizione limitata di 300 unità, la moto dedicata al progettista sammarinese sviluppa, in configurazione stradale, una potenza di 172,8 CV a 12850 giri/1’ ed eroga una coppia di 11,5 kgm a 9200 giri/1’. Nella configurazione Superbike, ottenuta con l’applicazione dei due Customer Racing Kit, il peso raggiunge il limite imposto dal regolamento, pari a 165 kg (1%) mentre la potenza e la coppia si posizionano su valori tali da imporre assoluto riserbo in attesa che sia la pista, con suoi risconti cronometrici, a dare il via alle stime ufficiose.

Michele Gallina ha intrapreso l’attività agonistica nel 1992 affiancandola alla gestione dell’attività commerciale e vanta, nel suo palmares i seguenti risultati:

- 1997:- 1° nel Campionato Italiano Sport Production su Ducati SPS - 1998:- 3° nel Campionato Italiano Supersport su Ducati 748 SP - 2003:- 1° nel Ducati Cup 749 su Ducati 749S - 2004:- 1° nel Trofeo Supertwins

Il direttore tecnico Roberto Gallina vanta una lunga militanza come pilota professionista. Dal 1960 al 1975 ha disputato oltre 180 gare, conquistando due titoli italiani e ben sessanta vittorie. Dopo aver appeso il casco al chiodo fonda il “Team Gallina”, che nel corso di 18 anni di attività conquistò undici titoli nazionali e due titoli iridati nella classe GP500, rispettivamente con Marco Lucchinelli nel 1981 e Franco Uncini nel 1982. Con i colori del team spezzino hanno gareggiato piloti del valore di Virginio Ferrari, Graziano Rossi, Loris Reggiani, Pierfrancesco Chili e Steve Baker conquistando 17 vittorie e numerosi piazzamenti in zona podio.
