Digitrax stationary decoders

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Wiring for DCC : One Thread

I am new to DCC and I have read DCC Made Easy. I am using digitrax Zephyr system. How hard is it to program, so I can control my turnouts. My turnouts are motorized by Swithmaster. As of now I am controlling the turnouts with a DPDT.

Depends who you ask I guess. Some will tell you it is very difficult. I didn't find it too hard to do, but then I have my computer connected to my loconet via an MS100 and I use Decoder Pro to do the programming. I have also done it using a DT100 throttle. The most important part is to read the manual and use the charts in it to get the ccorrect values. And start with the simple operations and make sure you can get them to work before trying comples stuff.
