Hi, I'm a Registered Massage Therapist in Canada. I'm interested in moving to Australia and would like to know what level of accreditation I may recieve. I've completed a 2200 hour program in Swedish massage (the amount needed to get your liscence and practice here) and hold a certificate to practice in Ontario, Canada. I've also taken courses in Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular therapy, and I've been in practice for 6 years. Would I need any further updating in order to recieve a liscence to practice in Australia? Thanks

I suggest that you look closely at the criteria for our Senior Level One membership (http://www.amt-ltd.org.au/index.php?Page=Join% 20AMT_Membership%20Levels_3.php) and provide evidence of meeting this with your application form and application fee once you are in Australia. We will want you to complete and pass a Theory Exam and Practical Assessment as described. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to email us.
