I have a 5 year old hydro elevator that had a poor cylinder install and the jack must be replaced. The PVC also seems to have failed. Is there a sheath type of cylinder containment that can be used so that the PVC does not need to be replaced thereby not redrilling the hole?

Hi There I have seen many pvc casings fail with the air pressure monitoring testing after installation. I would allways use Bore Max additive between the jack and casing and use p gravel mixed with the additive for the bottom for pinning the jack. Call Bore Max for directions, look in elev world for #, how has your PVC failed ? in what way

there are several types of jack casing eeco jacks have a snug pvc fit and are threaded onto the jack at tne top for a water tight seal this is the only on i have seen that works well also there is a big sheath a condom if you will that fits on them too. id go with the eeco jack

If your P.V.C. liner has only a small hole you might be able to put unionguard 160 in it. First put water down the liner and see how bad the leek is. If it is not that bad( a gallon or 2 in 24) pump the water out and dump unionguard 160 in. It worked for me.No problems
