Berkshire 2716

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

I am building an HO scale model of the 2716, a C&O Berkshire used by the Southern Railway in excursion service. This locomotive, when "Southernized" sported a brass eagle on the headlight casing. I need to duplicate that eagle. Does anybody have an idea on modeling it? Thank you,

Eddie

Eddie- Scale Structures Limited carries an 'ornate eagle' #650-2494 that may suit your needs. I also tried to find an eagle to 'Southernize' my Mikado, but was dissapointed in the SSltd eagle which looks sort- of like a fat chicken. Since SS ltd seems to be the only one that carries an eagle, maybe with some modifications you can make it look like a 'Southern' eagle.Good luck, RDC
