Price of gas

I was wondering what the lowest price people remembered for a gallon of gasoline. The lowest I recall seeing was 29¢ when I was maybe 3 years old. How about you?

Gas war in 1962-price of Gulftane was .19/gal. Ususal price was .29/gal. I remember the farmers were all comin into town to fill their big gastanks. Had'm loaded in their farm trucks, wagons and about anything else that would hold one.

Before that Pappy bought gasoline to be delivered to the farm. Paid about .30/gal but when he got the gasoline road tax back it cost'm .16/gal. This was only used for farmin and not cars/trucks used for pleasure. I'm sure many times it was abused but not by my old pappy. He said he'd not steal pennys from the Gov't. He never did either!

Noticed yesterday when I filled up at BP the gas had dropped from $1.85 to $1.74. About time---! oldhoot Matt. 24:44
