complicated question here. my friend was living in the US (he is in the military) his finacee (who is german) came over with the specific intent to get married. She did not get a finacee visa. Once she arrived they got married and she satyed in the US for over a year. They then moved to Germany. My question is , now that he wants to divorce her, was their marriage legal in the first place since she never got a finacee visa ans she overstayed here for the year they lived in NC? He is now living back in the US
