My mom is really interested in joining a rowing club or classes in the LA area. She is a beginner. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I just did a quick google search and came up with the Los Angles Rowing Club in Marina Del Ray Ca. Their web site is www.larowing.org

I live down in Orange county South of LA and roow out of the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach. I'm guessing that we are 45 or more miles south of downtown LA, but it is a great place to learn sculling.

There is also Cal Yacht Club also in Marina Del Ray. They have a rowing program but I'm thinking it might be pretty pricey to take advantage of?
