Does anyone know when the Southern droped the use or lost the UPS Contract from rail post office cars ? I very interested in their history on trains operaating in and thru Tennessee.

David Steinberg's book about Chattanooga passenger service has an article from the Chattanooga paper from when the last RPO ran in that city. It was Oct. 27th 1967. The other RPOs must have come off around that time.
