Gear shift change. : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Hi all has anyone changed the shift on the F1000 to a one down five up ? I have done this on other bikes by fitting rearsets and flipping the linkage. Can it be easily done on the 1000 without new rearsets ? Cheers Brett

Sorry but no, not easily, you would have to have parts made up and would be much easier/cheaper to use aftermarket rearsets.

We used this Italian made rear set with linkage on the F4 750. We reversed the linkage to get one up 5 down. 7CAluminum%20Billet&productID=2507&showDetail=1&categoryID=469|MV% 20Agusta%20Billet&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=168% 7CItalian%20Motorcycle%20Parts

I have a 750 which has had selector drum changed ,so it is possible without rearsets .Now have no nuetral light. I bought motor like this and was given the standard drum if I wanted to change, was told it cost about 450 so best bet would be rearsets Ian

Ian: Any idea where that reverse shifter drum came from? I have asked about that for several years and no one in the US seems to have any idea what I'm talking about or where to get one. Thanks, Scott
