Anarchy, a reason to destroy the government?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Anarchy 2 : One Thread

Alright, because we haven't had a good discussion on Anarchy in a while, Ill start it up again. Lets get the ball rolling.

First off, the lack of Government. Would it be worth it.

In a word, Yes.

I strongly beleive that many governments around the world, including the US Gvt AND the Canadian Gvt need to be thrown down, stomped on, and let Anarchy reign supreme.

For about 15 minutes.

Everyone would suddenly stop bitching and complaining about how much the government sucked, poser Anarchists would give it up and cry like little bitches, and people with leadership skills would take charge.

People with no brains (see, George Bush) would not aquire positions of power, because even though the people would be in a state of Anarchy, we are far evolved from the 'Strength Rules All' caveman era we once lived in. The technology for the minds to take over would be there.

Its like the Pheonix, yknow, from the Ashes a new creature? A new government from the lack of one. Overthrow everything, start anew.

I dont hate my government, really, I dont. I love the Canadian government. But maybe, for just 15 minutes, we need to put it in a closet without telling anyone, and see exactly what happens.

Very true. In about 2 days people that have got power"more guns than the other people" Would more that likely take control. Those without and means of attack of def' Would fall fast and be left olne to live in fear of them. I mean come on without a police Force, Crime would be the new form of Gov. Gangs could and would take over and we well most likely not be able to do anything bout it.

Eactly right, your streetgangs would take the food they don't want to grow themselves from those weaker than them.

Baloney. How long did it take for Hitler to get control of the economically depressed Germany, or Stalin to gain control after the Russian revolution? You'll have a government soon enough, and it won't be one with "freedoms", rather something along the lines of Sudan.

So long as my people are among the chosen ones, for everybody else, life's gonna suck in a big way.

Or perhaps why don't we just go back to what the founding father's wanted. Yes States rights a limited federal govt. etc etc return to the way it was before the supreme court started to over step its bounds in the madison era. FUCK MARSHALL'S RULINGS!

Joe, I would agree, but I have this uneasy feeling the governments of the world have been in an endless loop for the past 200 years. Freedoms=Abuse Of Freedoms=Restrictions=Complaints=Freedoms...etc. I get the feeling everyone needs to start over from time to time...

And as for Hitler, he was one smart motherfucker, to a point. I can see how he came to power. Im not saying I agree with 90 percent of his policies, but I certainly do admire what he did with Germany pre 1938.

ust, yanno, dont start a two front war.

You 'love' the Canadian government, and admire what Hitler did before 1938 - that would include Kristallnacht, general anti-Semitic legislation, etc.

Man, are you ever a fuckup.

Still, what did I expect, as your original post made no sense at all. 'Overthrow everything, start anew'...for '15 minutes'. Next time try and organize a thought before typing.

I like Thomas Paine's veiw on Government. Read some of his pamplets. Great author. Government at its best is a nessesary evil... at its worse an intollerable one.

Anarchy? Hilter was a smart person. Yet he killed hisself in the end. Seeing as he said allthe things he said. I dont think the shame of defeat was something his weak spiritcould handel. Like meweak spelling,.

-- Crisis (CrisisKils@hotmail.com), October 26, 2004.

If you read, Mr Idiot, I said I liked what he did with the country pre 1938. Im talking economically.

Wiping the slate clean for 15 minutes may not be the best idea, I just wanted to throw the idea out there. I do, however, want some way to show people exactly how much their government does for them every second of their lives. Especially those 'Anarchists' who run about the internet (wouldnt be possible without policing and upkeep by official people) spreading crap. (and yes, I know, there is Anarchy to an extent. Some anarchists realize this and dont want a complete lack of government, just a 95 percent lack of government... which... is weird, because then it kind of knocks the Anarchism out of it all)

Then it becomes Libertarianism, KillerCrud.

-- Dick Tator (inneedofliberty@yahoo.com), October 27, 2004.

*Blink Blink*

Whaddya know... it does. But the problem with throwing all support behind libertarianism is I beleive it would just give one more group too much power. Its why whenever Elections time rolls around here in Canada, and I dont like the two big power mongers going for it (Our 'multi party system' is a joke. Only the Conservatives or the Liberals ever stand a chance), I vote for the group that I know will lose, but not by much, so that there is a minority government and we have another four years to find some new people to run the country.

What we need is a group of people with new ideas and beliefs to come along and over throw the goverments and start over
