Hi, got my evo02 in Dez. 2001 Check the VIN-No.

1999 = X 2000 = Y 2001 = 1 2002 = 2 2003 = 3 2004 = 4

Example F4: ZCGF401AA1V003585

ZCG = Manufact. F4 = Modell 01 = Variante (Mono?) AA = Modell Version 1 = Year of production V = location of manufact. (?) 003585 = frame number

This is for all vehicels.

Nathan,

The EV 02 is the 2002 moddle year bike, these started to arrive in showrooms at the end of 2001 (like most manufacturers).

They are identical appart from changes within the engine so the only visual clue is in the paintwork on the tail. It should say EV02! In the UK lots of shops were still holding earlier bikes and were not particulary carfull about what they described as '02 (or even '03) bikes. Essentially the 02/03 EV's are both the same, the 03 are just later in the production run. The 03 did get silver wheels and permanent headlights for all markets, but I believe you can retrofit the earlier switch unit if you want that function back.

So as explained above, you need to check the VIN for the real answer.

The evo03 bikes got the spr-header. Iīm not shure about the evo02 in this question, mine evo02 (Dez. 2001) hasnīt one but maybe later evo02 2002 bikes have it.

Does anyone know a supplier of the MV headlight switch to add it back to later models without the option?
