Did Alexander have celtic mercenaries in his army?

No, unless if they used another name. They invaded Macedonia a few centuries later.

The celts certainly got around. They invaded Rome early on. They even invaded Greece at one time, if I recall correctly. Alexander also had a fair number of irregular troops in addition to his Macedonian hoplites and calvary, so some celts may have been swept into his rabble... er, army... at some time.

But, if there were any celts in the mix, they weren't especially important. I don't recall offhand there being any at all. Alexander absolutely relied on his Macedonians for all the heavy lifting.

OTOH, Hannibal had a fair number of celts in his army.
