My son's Path Finder Go Kart from BJ's (yeah I know!) has a cable which broke that runs from the engine to the long metal throttle rod which has a hole designed into it. i have no idea how to run the cable to the engine and then to the metal rod.

Also, will a 10 speed bicycle handbrake cable work or do I need original cable?

Any help or refernces with pix is greatly appreciated.
