Being a femal nurse, what is the appropriate care to a Koori or Moslem man which is acceptable to their culture?

Muslims prefer that women treat women and men treat men. Modesty is an important issue to Muslims. As a nurse and a Muslim I know that this is often misunderstood in the nursing profession. Nurses feel that a man that requests a man is somehow thinking that as a woman she will not be a good nurse. Other male nurses feel that a female client needing a female nurse are accusing them of being sexually aroused. The important thing is that it is not to be taken on a personal level, it has to do with the client's level of modesty. If the client is stressed out became a person of the opposite gender is taking care of them, the whole pituitary axis (epinephrine, etc.) can be going off and impeding their overall health and healing. Ask the client what is expected from you.
