I'm planning to get my first goats in the spring, but I realize that I simply won't know what to do with the amount of milk I'd get from two does. I still want two goats, though, and am wondering about my options.

-- Will a doe and a whether get along? Could they be kept in the same stall? Would I need higher fences or anything else different if I decided to do a doe and a whether instead of two does?

-- What about getting two does and only breeding one each year? How well will a doe respond to drying off and not breeding until 12 months later?

Any other ideas?
