remove the muffler and add an exhaust header it'll be noisy but you'll get more power you could also try computor cleaner compressed air it'll act just like nitrous but is so much cheaper and easier to use not to mention safer it'll definitely increase speed. all you do is route a tube connected to the bottle and valve to the carbureter. drill a hole in the carb right after the air filter and insert the tube little ways in put the bottle between the handle bars and viola! (wear a helmet) :)

THere should be a little screw under the engine just twist that out and it should be luoder and much faster.

Go to this website http://www.taffspeed.co.uk. they are a british company that sells parts for scooters be they vespas lambrettas or japanese automatic scooters. click on tuning. There are several ways to get your scooter to go faster. Cheapest get a new carburator and a performance exhaust. On a two stroke engine the exhaust system can boost your performance. If you want to spend more money buy a kit specific for your engine i.e. a 75cc kit it will have the appropriate carb and a new piston. you will have to get your cylinder bored to the new size but you will go much faster.

Taffspeed should be able to help out, Otherwise do a search on google for "tuning your scooter" or "scooter tuning"

Adding a muffler is a good start.

Add a higher flow carb is next on the list.

....I'm betting that you're knew to this stuff and might not have the money for such high performance parts.

A cheesy and cheap way would be to increase exhaust back pressure by other means than a muffler. You could try getting your self some brass piping from a model and hobby store that will fit inside the already existing exhaust pipe.

Get some channel locks and crimp the pipe a bit in the middle. Don't close it up too tight, just a little at first. It may not sound pretty, but it'll work. Hell, you could even just stuff it with some fiberglass batting towards the end and cap the end off with some window screening.

Simple mufflers like that are pretty easy to make. If you're handy, you can even make a commercial quality one for next to nothing.....

maybe if you didn't SHOUT I'd answer your question.

I think we already answered them for him just fine unless you have some brighter ideas......

Yes, like NOT increasing the back pressure. To go faster without adjusting gearing you need higher revs, so less back pressure and less restriction on the intake are a solution.

hmmmm. go to ebay and get NOS

get some pipping that wont melt under high temprature and is easy to bend (i used brass), about 1 or 2 meteres of it and twist it round into a coil with the end pointing out make sure air can pass through attach it to your exhaust.

.......me and my mates don this 4 a laugh and it made our petrol scooters sound allot deeper and more like a motor bike and it also made it allot faster

you could take the miffler off, it makes it tones faster. The only problem is the pistion will burn up and ruine your moter. and there are some code regalations on not haveing a muffler, so you could make your own pipes, just make them long and curled.
