I have not heard of them but a Web search gives: National Labor Relations Board http://www.nlrb.gov/nlrb/home/default.asp Case Volume 295 Page 347 Case Number 1-CA-24705 Dec 1989)

International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 4 -and- Ideal Elevator Corp., Boston, Massachusetts.

concerning Union organizing

Online Yellow Pages does not show them in Boston, Massachusetts now.

Web search gives: Stephen F. Sampson, International Union of Elevator Constructors - Local 4, AFL/CIO, 424 Cambridge Street, Allston, MA 02134

If it is the same company, some people at that place might have info.

Steve Sampson has nothing to do with Ideal Corp. He is now an organizor for the IUEC, and a hell of a good guy.

It looks like the IUEC had a dispute with Ideal Corp.

I can't tell you anything about Ideal corp unofrtunately. I haven't heard of them.

Ideal WAS a company out of south florida making relay logic controllers mounted on a green pc board. used omniphase units for door speed control, timmer modules and terminals around all four edges of the board.

they were simmilar in circuitry to a Centry made in the same part of florida.

Might have a source. have not worked on one in quite a while, wouldn't know where to look in the stacks. If no one else comes up with anything, I'll look.
