MPH II

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

Couple of questions about MPH II. 1. in a duplex system, shutdown one car by killing the mainline, both car go to phase 1. 2. one car stopped below the bottom floor(maybe dripped), both LU and LD units are off the reflector, DS5 & DS6 LED remain on, door fully closed. But FREEDOM TOOL showed STAT-CAR-SRV-NORMAL(o.K.). Obviously. It's not O.K., any helps?

Maybe the common and/or valve power is supplied by a common SINGLE source that goes down when that particular car goes down. Given that most fire service circuits are fail-safe, the common supply (either through a relay, or fused circuit) isn't being supplied. Good Luck! S.

I know that if you have this problem on an Otis 211, the fire service feed fuse is blown in the controller of the elevator that is left running.
