I have a turkey that just layed an egg, but she has not sat on it in 2 days. Is this normal? What should I do if she does not sit on it? I am interested in raising turkeys, but this is not good if she will now sit on her eggs. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Have no fear. This is perfectly normal. A breeding Turkey will lay a whole clutch of eggs, and then sit on them all at once. Often times Turkey breeders will steal the eggs so that the hen will lay more to get a larger clutch, and then add them back to the nest for her to brood them. Your turkey will lay several eggs and then go broody to set. What kind of turkeys do you have?
