Hi, when you say the journeymen travel where the work is is that generally in WI. or other states? I thought you work for one company then if you get laid of in winter you then can travel? Can the apprentices travel during winter to? Does this union and ne wisconsin union offer annutity?

You probably should be directing your questions to your apprenticeship center, however, I'll take a try at answering... If you are laid off you would go on an 'out of work' list. If contractors are busy you would soon be assigned to another contractor. Apprentices generally stay in their area during an apprenticeship limited by your apprentice centers geographic coverage. At this time the Carpenter has an excellant pension plan but no additional annuity. Regards, Rocky
