I think it is supposed to be read as "wakata ka?". The above as explained that [wakata] = i understand, so [wakata ka] = do you understand. If i'm mistaken, we'll just let wakataka tell you, k?

Yeah, that's how I understood it. But does it also mean "I'm glad"? I thought it was just for the "Understand" or "Know" catagory.

oops I mixed up wakata and yokatta: "wakata" means I understand and "yokatta" means I'm glad. Sorry =D

Yeah, OK. That makes more sense.

I often mistake "Onaji" for "Otona" for some reason.

Wow. I haven't been here in a while. I didn't realise my name was a topic of conversation. To be perfectly honest, my 'Wakataka' is just an alias that I gave myself (obviously) but only that. It was litterally just a random word I thought I had made up. I thank you guys though for finding out that it really does have a meaning, I had been looking for one because for boredoms sake, I put in "Wakataka" at Google.com and came up with a bunch of hits. Unfortunately I don't know any people who speak Japanese. I did try to start self taught lessons through Japanese-Online.com, but I can't seem to commit myself. So, does Wakataka have a deeper meaning behind it, yes and no. It depends on your point of view. But this new information will definately help me in the future.
Thanks guys for the interest...
