i am looking at the above boat

does anyone have exper. rowing this boat. i want to row with fix seat and have the option to row sliding seat. the boat will be used on long island sound and along the coast of conn. have tides and wind and small chop. the boat would be used 50/50 with another rower.

my skill on rowing is good, want a boat i can take out myself for exercise and take out with another rower and ice chest etc.

it seem there are no demo boats out there, does anyone know of someone with this boat?

thanks for your response

Cheryl, I haven't rowed the Appledore but have friends that have them. Some friends (Peggy B and Barbara O) rowed one with sliding seats in the Soundkeepers Lighthouse to Lighthouse Race last year-14 miles around the Norwalk Islands. Not the fastest boat, but one of the most seaworthy. Also if you go down to The Small Boat Shop in Norwalk and talk to Gaeton-he owns one and I suspect will be happy to give his opinion. Are you anywhere near Norwalk?
