elevator operates in a three story building levelling problems is noticable on all floors 1 st floor car is about 6-6 inches above landing in some instances it has been approx 6 inches below the landing 2 nd and 3 rd floor approx 1 inch above landing we use orange 115 volt coils

levelling problems occur whether travel is up or down

when car travel downwards say to 1 st floor from 3 rd floor it generally passes the landing then as door begins to open the car then tries to come level with the landing but this fails

have you observed ocassions where there is a residual voltage on the coils

Does the machine usually run hot? Had the same problem with an LRV4, only to find a toasted coil that caused the elevator to run, intermittently, at leveling speed for most of the hoistway. This overheated the fluid and crustified the o-rings and seals in that Maxton valve block. A rebuild and new coil took care of it for us. Just a thought.

if your using tic-toc switches make sure the roller guides are'nt so loose that they affect the switches.

Back to basics, is the oil the correct grade? Is it getting to hot? ie: over 60'c it should trip out at 70'c.If it hardly gets used it could have cold oil, which would cause this problem, doe's it get better after running for a while ie: temp upto 30'c? the min temp should be about 30'c-50'c to maintain constant performance. How many floors is it? The less number of floors the quicker the heat rise if used excessively. Some Valve blocks use blocking diodes on the return lines to prevent coil feedback.Is it a constant problem or doe's it come and go? is it the same floors,or can it happen at any?
