Upson County Railroad

The 16 mile line between Thomaston and Barnesville was originally the Thomaston & Barnesville RR (1856), and then the Upson Co. RR.(1860) For sometime it was a CG property. Mr David Paterson wrote a book about it a few yrs. back. Does anyone know the frequency of weekly operations on this route today? Main on-line customers? It once crossed the old SR Atlanta-Ft Valley line at Topeka Jct, near 'The Rock'. Thanks.

Quad Graphics and Keadle Lumber are about the only customers on the line. Keadle Lumber loads mostly woodchips and occasionally lumber.

G03 works the line 3 days a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Quad/Graphics, a web printer, is one current customer along this line. They receive a number of cars of paper on a fairly regular basis.
