Have an oil on paper by Geer Morton its a portrait of a sitting woman in a striped blouse and a red hat. I beleive this was done in San Francisco and would like to find more about this work, it is available for sale .

Sounds like the painting may be of his first wife or one of his daughters although he did many adhoc quick portraits of various friends and family.
