how could i make a good go kart, with a strong enough engine to go 80 km/h with a 200 lbs. person in it??? How many horsepower would my engine have to be? How could i set up the steering on the front???

You would need at least a 13 hopower engine to go over 80km/h that is if my speed in the engine tork is right

It will also depend on the gearing of the kart. I have a Manco Dingo kart (8hp) that will do 45mph. I put a different sprocket on the jack shaft and we paced it next to our car at 53mph with less get up and go. My weight is 170lbs.
