FORGED SIGNATURE SECURED LOAN

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

I have an unregulated loan for my business, secured over my personal property . I have dealt with this loan company for many years on and off and have re-organised some of the loans over the years by lending extra money on top of the original loan via equity in my house. After this process the last time i have fallen behind with my payments and have just been informed they have terminated my agreements and shall be taking steps to recover etc; Upon going through my paperwork part of the loan agreement ( schedule of goods over which the loan is secured ) they have photocopied my signature from another document and are stating that this was a mistake by their sixteen year old secretary . Is this classed as a false instrument and what can i do in this situation ? Any info would be appreciated .

SORRY, I DON'T REALLY HAVE INFO BUT I DO KNOW THAT WHEN I WENT TO SIGN DOCUMENTS FOR A LOAN IN 1996, (I BELIEVE THE COMPANY WAS CALLED INNOVEX) ONE DOCUMENT ALREADY HAD MY SIGNATURE ON IT. BUT IT WASN'T SIGNED BY ME. IT LOOKED LIKE MY SIGNATURE BUT EVERYONE CAN TELL IF THEY SIGNED THEIR OWN NAME RIGHT? I AM STARTING TO THINK THESE BANKS ARE PROBABLY THE SAME ONE JUST CHANGING THEIR BUSINESS NAME AND MY PROBLEM BEGAN THAT YEAR 1996. I THINK THEY HAVE A TRAIL WE NEED TO TRACE.
