I am trying to document the residencial presence of the De Haro [Francisco de Haro was the first mayor/alcalde of SF] family at any time on Potrero Hill, either in an adobe at 20th and De Haro, and/or at 690 Wisconsin Street, or any other location. This is for a book project. Thank you

I research all the Jose Antonio Sanchez family, which includes Emiliana Sanchez who married Francisco de Haro. Landgrant hearings/maps at Bancroft Library show de Haro owning a small lot NE of 16th & Dolores, and a larger lot NW of that intersection. According to testimony given: US Supreme Court records mention that Francisco lived at the 50 vara lot on the northeast corner of 16th (Center) and Dolores at the time of his death and several years prior. Francisco died in 1849, wife in 1842. His children had the larger lot surveyed in 1853 - what was 240 Dolores in 1901 (renumbered about 1905 , area of #278 now.) It looks like the parcel included that entire corner of the block.

I also have a photocopy of map showing: "Casa de Haro", just north of Mission Dolores complex. This was taken from "Spanish Records, B" 1847-1850, 1v. City Records, Alcalde Microfilm, in the History Room of SF main library. I think the map is dated 6 Feb 1850.
