Josh, it all depends on where you are. If you are located in the USA, Europe, NZ or Australia- there are plenty of coffee importers who do the hard work for you. They source the beans from suppliers worldwide and then do the grunt work of importing the beans, clearing customs and any hurdles (such as the FDA Bio-terrorism Act or Australia's AQIS regs). However you can import beans yourself if you so chose- depends on what kind of beans you are looking at specialising in. Alun

Hey Josh,

I am a producer and importer of green Nicaraguan coffee in Texas- Houston to be more specific. If you cannot find a suitable distributor in your area give me a call (713) 416-8715 or e-mail me at your convenience. I deal in small shipments and maybe I can help you.

Josh, There are so many places where you can buy green beans. You might wish to decide first what origins you want to use to help market your business - what will your customers want. What is your favorite coffee? Where does it come from? By starting with questions like this you can begin to formulate and expand your product offerings. What do you want to be known for? Great coffee or fast service or both?

I offer specialty green beans from only one region - Cerrado, from Araguari, Minas Gerais, Brazil. I can supply you with any quantity from 1 bag to multiple containers. I'd be happy to send you a sample to cup and roast and see for yourself what a beautiful crema it produces.

Good luck with your drive thru!
