I just received a yixing teapot, and I'm wondering if it's okay to use peppermint leaves in this kind of pot... or is it only for black or green teas? thanks for any help

Obviously, you are not a serious Chinese tea drinker. So it does not matter. A nice pot will enhance the enjoyment of any hot drink.

Keep in mind though, that red clay teapot will absorb and retain the flavor. Serious tea drinker use only one type of tea in each pot.
