A question has arisen at our DB2 shop: if I am dropping DB2 RI on a table, do I need to rebind the affected programs -- or, does DB2 do an automatic rebind? I don't find any evidence that DB2 will mark the package invalid, which is normally what causes the automatic rebind, so we are wondering what to plan for after an impending drop of RI on a Production table. While it may be a great idea to rebind the program, we're wondering if it is actually essential for us to do.
