manual release for tape eject on PD-150?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Shooting DV Films : One Thread

Greetings all;

I have a Sony DSR-PD150 which will not eject the tape. Anybody know of a manual release method to get the mini-tape tape out?

Anybody know of common reasons why this may be happening?

Thanks to all in advance for any and all help.

I have the same problem right now, my camera blinks with the error c:32:11 in the upper right corner of the screen.

I've tried taking the battery out, putting it back in, and even putting it back in with the eject button pressed. It doesn't work. Any other ideas? There's gotta be a way to do this manually...

Thanks for any advice.

This is a very common fault with mini dv. if you read the user manual you would note that they usually tell you not to force the tape. They have an automatic loading system and forcing the tape breaks this intricate balance of technology and wisdom. Your cameras are now fucked and you will pay a lot of money to to learn to always do what the sign says. good luck bless you all
