What kind of hot pepper do I have?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : VictorySeeds.com : One Thread

I have been growing a pepper that I think was sold to me as a Trinadad bird", but I am not sure. The plant put out a plethora of blosums, but didn't fruit until very late in the season (I still have some maturing after several frosts). The fruit starts as purple and then changes to yellow then into shades of orange until it ends up deep red. The fruit is for the most part very small and tends to be round to conical in shape. Oh, and did I tell you it is EXTREAMLY HOT!!!

What do I have and where does it rate on the hot pepper scale? Also, is it normal for it to fruit so late in the season?? And lastly, can I dry it and use the seeds the next year??

Thanks...Bill
