Railroad facilities in Tennille, AL

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

I am looking for any photos or drawings of the Railroad buildings in Tennille, AL (SE Alabama). This was originally on the Alabama Midland line (ca 1897), but shortly thereafter became ACL for many years. It is now CSX, but there are no RR buildings remaining.

At one time there was a depot, water tower(my Great-Grandfather and G-Great-Grandfather used to pump water from the creek to the tower), section houses, etc. Tennille was a very prosperous little community, with several stores, mill, and hotel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! Bill Blair
