Name of Southern Ry. president

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

I am interested in learning the correct name of a Southern Ry.president from the 1960s. Was it Bill Brosnan? He was noted for his no-nonsense management. I am writing a book that refers to him in one episode and I want to get it right. Thanks, 30 (E.M.Lewis) P.S. "30" is old railroad telegraph code for end of message.

Brosnan became pres. in '62....believe he retired in '67.

If you are going to refer to him the way we employees did, then it should be either "Mr. B." or "Wild Bill"
