F4 1000 approx 14000

That's according to 3X who also expect delivery in February. Call me cynical but shouldn't that be Feb 2005 as firm deposists are being taken in order to start building the machine?? Why haven't we seen a stripped down/unfaired F4 at the shows? What's to stop MV from painting fairings and slapping F4 1000 stickers on the current F4 bodywork. I've seen pics of the catalytic convertor - but even that would be easy to knock up in a hurry. Until I see a bike test I won't be holding my breath.

Well, the 1000cc powerplant has been under development since 2001, and has been on the endurance racing circuit for almost 2 years. Many of the improvements on the F4-1000 were developed during this racing effort. Most of the rest of the bike IS just like the 750 F4, so they are painting the current F4 bodywork and "slapping" 1000 stickers on it.

If you doubt the existence of this powerplant, then contact Steven Casaer of Maxim Racing. He's been riding it for quite a while now on the European circuits. It's real.

WOW--i thought i could be a bit cynical,i dare say if you saw it minus clothing it would`nt look a heap differant, apparantly it uses the same crankcases as the F4, but is`nt it supposed to be a few mm wider? maybe you should turn up at the nec show with a giant pair of callipers and measure it!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea! I'll also be taking my microscope and collecting samples to put through my mass spectrometer to verify the date and type of metals used following which I shall take steroscopic measurements to ensure all angles/meaasurements are as specified. Tolerances of more than 0.000000001% will be unacceptable. And that's before I've put on my leathers! LOL!
