Intensity = puprity

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

yes well there is this thing about it. What Drew Newmann did. Taking the method of classical music into the extreme. The massivly quick mood changes. I think this is a also a reason why this(entire) atmosphere appeals to us. Maybe? Intensity and purity, one feels so comfortbale with it, like its natural. Maybe has something to do with the pace of our thoughts?

Intensive(crashing or soothing) ,short things seem to be all that all our experiences are about. There are certainly some classical music pieces out there that have this fury(crashing or soothing). If anyone has any names for similar music with "quick mood changes" please post them!

Definitely the give the "Akira" soundtrack a shot. Its down by a group called "Geinoh Yamashirogumi" and its amazing. It definatly makes me think 'intensity and purity', very spiritual, very stream of conscious. For quick mood changes try tracks, "Tetsuo" and "Requiem". Also, I'll point out that hearing the soundtrack as it goes in the movie is not like experiencing it on its own.

Hmm, I doubt heaps that this falls into what your after, but, a song that I just heard, by "Mindless Self Indulgence", called "Pussy All Night", definately has quick mood changes... Try it!

Sam,

The akira soundtrack is always with me when I travel. It is beautiful music, if I did know it already I would praise you to the heavens for giving me that tip.

ps:That "pussy all night" song reminds me of Atari teenage riot...a little.

Ha ha, its different huh? Like, Korn + Prince, or something...

Another interesting track is called "Somatic Propellor" by Laurent Brondel.

Haha, a mix of corn and prince. That is kinda what MSI is like. Havn't heard that "pussy all night" song yet. Akira soundtrak ehh, I'll check it out. I also want to get the hacksign soundtrak, that's some beautiful stuff right there.

Having now heard a bunch of MSI, I'd say that "Pussy All Night" still seems like their best song. "Dickface" epitomizes the Prince/Korn thing. "I hate Jimmy Page" and "Bring the Pain" both very nice.
