greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

Dear Peter, I have to make an interactive feature (with the possible use of narrative structures incorporated in the piece). I asked my fellow peers, as well as my lecturer if they had heard of Aeon Flux, and only a couple had heard *of it* due to your interview on the Animatrix DVD (which I thought was excellent). So I have decided to construct a DVD Menu system all about Aeon Flux - hey, it's interactive enough :)

Anyway, I'm wondering if I can obtain your permission to get copies of the episodes (seeing as though Australia gets NOTHING in the way of DVDs) through another source, such as Kazaa. I intend to display the episodes on the DVD, include your interview in the Animatrix DVD, and if I could, have an interview-type feature with Aeon's creator, you :) - this 'feature' will be text based only - I have no money to organize actual trips to the States or film footage and whatnot.

This assessment will not be distributed in any way and all rights and tributes will go to you, John, Denise and I suppose I'll have to credit MTV as well...

Thanks for your time, I look forward to speaking to you soon. -Loserbait aka An Ho (4 digit name...), Melbourne, Australia

As far as I'm concerned Aeon Flux is incapable of belonging to anyone else but Peter Chung. Creations without Peter's involvement are sham. They can't give it, they can't buy it and they don't even get it.

Just a quickie, before any of you guys abuse me: 1) I've been meaning to get the DVDs - believe me, but no where in Australia has it or is willing to import it - I guess I'll eBay it very soon. 2) I stress again that this is for a class assessment and will *not* be distributed anywhere in any way, shape or form. 3) I'll definitely be importing Drew Neumann's CD - I'll need to get some music from it.

eh hehe, that sounds so funny from a person whose nickname is "nomad". I am but a fellow wanderer who stumbled upon this message board whilst trying to find information about AF for my assignment.

I figure, get the information from it's source would be the best thing for me

Loserbait,

You don't need to ask my permission to do or say anything you want about Aeon Flux in any venue, commercial or otherwise. I possess no legal rights. But I appreciate the gesture.

As for the interview request, I'm afraid I'll have to decline. but you're free to pull quotes from my messages on this board. I'm sure you'll find plenty to use.

Peter Chung,

So you have no legal rights over Aeon Flux. Does this mean that Aeon Flux totally belongs to MTV? Peter, the reason why I am asking is that I have a petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/MTVDVD/ to get Aeon Flux, Liquid Television, et al to DVD (espically season format) & I thought that you might have a say in weither or not a season format of Aeon Flux would be made on DVD. Does this mean that MTV has total control over Aeon Flux & you don't have any say in it?
