We would suggest using the following 2 options :

1. Destructive Test : Commonly called a Pillow Test, this is used for testing the final set parameters on a machine for a particular thickness.

2. Non-Destructive : This is used as part of your QA. Fill-up the container with compressed air say @ 1 bar to 3 bar (i.e. set air pressure so that your container doesn't deform. Use a fixture to hold it under water and look for air bubbles.

Of course for very critical applications, you could use the Helium Leak Detector test.
