i'm making a go-cart with a lawn mower engine. Was wondering how i can have brakes using a peddal. Also wondering how i can accelerate using a peddal. And last I want to know how to build a manual clutch system(like a car) for a go cart. tell me how i can do these things. Thanx.

for breaks yoku just atatch a wire to the spinde(the thing that holds the pedals) and atatch that wire to the breaks in the go-kart i'd sugest disk brakes (like the brakes in cas) the acceleration i can't help ya out on that one cause i can't even figure that one out for myself me and my freind are gonna build a go-kart too with a 5hp lawn mower engine so don't feel stupid but i bet if you do some researsh you could figure it out

you just hook up a cabel to the speed control at the carburator in your engine. The engine should have a little spring somewhere with a metal thing that can be moved. Hook up the cable to that metal thing and the more you pull on the cable, the more gas it gives
