I am making a go-ped with a chainsaw motor and i need to change the sprocket on the chainsaw to fit a bike chain. Does anyone know how to take off the clutch?!

With a bottle of clutch remover, of course!

Simply soak the clutch in the aforementioned substance and then peel the device off.

Then go to the grocery store and buy a pack of the right kind of clutch; they are the most handy things - I can find all sorts of uses for them, ranging hood ornament to broom handle accessory.

Look at the back side of the clutch - that space between the back of the clutch and the chainsaw engine. There should be 1 or 2 hex screws (the Allen wrench ones) that connect the clutch to the shaft. Remove those, and if the clutch doesn't slide off easily look for an obstruction. If there's none you can see, it's probably rusted on and to get it off use brute force and a crowbar.

Good luck with your endeavours
