Whenever I try to connect to MIRC, i get a message saying "unable to connect (no route to host). I was just wondering if anyone had problems like this and fixed it.

You have to first connect to the server before u can get into a chat room. If they are in the aniverse server than in the options box it asks you where you want to connect to. After u connect to whatever server another box pops up that asks you what channel to get on.

It should be "irc.animenetworks.org", not "irc.anime- networks.org". :P

To connect to irc.animenetworks.org, type "/server irc.animenetworks.org". Then type "/list" for the list of channels on that server. Double click on a channel and you're in.

everyone, I know how to connect. i'm not a total newbie with mirc. i was using it for a couple months and then it just stopped working for me.

This normally means you are not properly connected to the Internet. Your sweet Windows can not find out how or where to find the IRC server. It has nothing todo with mIRC or IRC! Check your connection (reconnect if everything seems fine) and try again.. ;)
